Summer Student Social Survey Researcher

Salary:$17.20 Hourly

The Social Survey Researcher will play a vital role in evaluating the social impact of Nisa Foundation’s programs. They will assist in designing, distributing, and analyzing surveys for Nisa Homes, Nisa Helpline, Nisa Mental Health, and Nisa Learning Program. The interns will work collaboratively to develop a comprehensive Social Impact Report, showcasing the measurable outcomes of these programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Survey Design and Development:

  • Collaborate to develop and test surveys tailored to each program’s objectives.
  • Ensure surveys are culturally sensitive and accessible to Arabic- and Urdu-speaking participants.
  • Translate and proofread survey materials as needed.

Survey Distribution and Data Collection:

  • Distribute surveys via email, digital platforms, or in-person sessions.
  • Collect responses and ensure data is stored securely, respecting confidentiality.
  • Conduct follow-ups to ensure high response rates.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using tools like Excel, SPSS, etc.
  • Identify trends and patterns that align with the Theory of Change (ToC) for each program.
  • Draft sections of the Social Impact Report, integrating findings into clear, concise narratives.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the Director of Programs and other team members.
  • Provide regular updates on survey progress and challenges.
  • Participate in team meetings and present key findings.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:

Must have:

  • Language Proficiency in Arabic or Urdu (spoken and written fluency)
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with survey tools (e.g., Microsoft Forms, SurveyMonkey).
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow ethical data collection practices.

Preferred:

  • Experience in social work, community development, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Nisa Foundation’s mission and programs.
  • Previous experience conducting surveys or evaluations.
