Hi, I’m Emma! As the Alumni Liaison Specialist at Yorkville University, I cultivate alumni relationships for the purposes of providing mentorship, career advice and jobs to our current and graduating students.
I am a Career Educator who has supported thousands of emerging professionals through community building, career advising and job search support. Prior to Yorkville, I worked with students and alumni at Toronto Metropolitan University as a Career Education Specialist delivering workshops to 4,000+ students and 1,500+ one-to-one career advising appointments. My perspective on career education has been featured in publications such as University Affairs, CanCulture and Style Nine to Five and I was recently chosen as a Finalist for the TalentEgg Career Coach/Educator of the Year Award, 2023.
Previously, as a Development Executive in film and TV, I worked with emerging voices over a 15-year span, working in Canada, the US, and the UK. I love to volunteer and have held roles such as Committee Chair for the vocational training profit, POV, and been invited as a guest speaker to the UK’s National Film & Television School, the Canadian Film Centre, and the National Screen Institute. In my spare time, I run a grassroots organization, Start in Screen, for those breaking into the film and TV sector.
Reach out to me if you are an alumnus and/or interested in opportunities to mentor our students.
