Because this specific population often presents with high levels of clinical skepticism and “treatment fatigue,” the success of the intervention relies heavily on the initial rapport and cultural resonance of the intern. To that end, we are looking for a candidate who can bridge the gap between traditional social work and the “boots-on-the-ground” reality of these clients.

The ideal candidate for this specific caseload would possess:

• Lived Experience & Maturity: We are seeking an associate who brings significant life experience, particularly someone who has navigated the responsibilities of fatherhood and family leadership. Our clients in this track respond best to someone they perceive as having “skin in the game” regarding mid-life transitions.

• Background in Physical Health/Fitness: A background in athletics, coaching, or functional fitness is a major asset. We utilize a “mind-body” approach for these clients, and a student who values physical discipline and somatic health will find immediate common ground with men who prioritize physical strength and medical autonomy.

• Direct Communication Style: This role requires a “thick-skinned” and grounded individual. The clients in this group value a common-sense, direct approach and may be alienated by overly academic jargon. We need a student who is comfortable in a traditional, high-accountability environment.

• Respect for Traditional Values: This caseload can include clients with deeply rooted traditional worldviews. We need an associate who can offer a non-judgmental, “meeting-them-where-they-are” approach, respecting their personal convictions and privacy without pathologizing their beliefs.

I believe this is a premier opportunity for a non-traditional or seasoned student who wants to work in a real-world setting where their prior life and labour experience are treated as clinical assets.

Any associate has to be willing to undergo supervision and cohesive training to adopt the style that suits the clinic approach and the clientele .

The split is currently 60/40. And the associate is welcome to set their own rates within reason .

We leave room for new grads to increase prices over the course of a 5 year span with the clinic. The clinic has a fantastic reputation with the niche population we work with.

Currently there are a handful for men waiting on an associate therapist with Mind Online.

As with anyone starting out , the hours aren’t going to meet a full time schedule. But the associate is welcome to make his own schedule.
