Description
Lewis Kay Casting is a film and television Casting Office located in Toronto, Canada. We cast feature films, movies of the week and television series.
We are looking for a full time Casting Assistant to start in May and commit to one year of work with the possibility of extension. We work both in the office but there is the possibility to work from home 1-2 days per week depending on team schedules. Our hours at 10am-6pm but many days we work early and/or stay late because of time zones.
Applicants should have industry experience. Ideally in casting but could be working in a talent agency or in Production. No actors please.
Duties include:
Setting up and calling out audition requests or in person auditions.
Dealing with the talent agents.
Uploading auditions.
Generating all seen lists, master lists, cast lists, etc.
Writing breakdowns and pulling sides.
Communicating with producers and directors.
Supporting the CD’s by maintaining detailed lists and keeping them organized.
Typing up deal memos.
Many other administrative tasks.
Please note that pay is based on a weekly fee, not hourly.

Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Strong computer skills – MAC (Apple) based knowledge. We will provide a macbook for employee to use while working at LK Casting. Experience using Breakdown Services, Cast It and Casting Workbook. Experience using Google docs, Google drive, Google sheets, etc. Familiar with Slack. Strong communications skills. Eager to learn. Hardworking. Team Player. Punctual and organized. Works well under stress. Self motivated. Passionate about film and television.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Prior experience as a Casting Assistant in Canada.
