About the Position/ Responsibilities
Reporting to Sullivan Entertainment Group, Inc.’s (the “Company”) Head of Film & TV (based in Los Angeles, CA) and Senior Vice President of Business Affairs, the Coordinator will play a vital role and supporting Sullivan Entertainment as a premium, all-purpose content studio working across genres.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Job Functions
- The role will be split between approximately 70% film & tv-related production development work and 30% social media and other related support work.
Development
- Manage critical internal and external communications. Track ongoing project discussions and timelines, manage executive travel, and schedule meetings for the Head of Film & TV, as well as other Executive Producers.
- Read and review literary materials being evaluated for development (novels, short stories, non-fiction, etc.) and draft summary coverage on the literary materials, review other materials such as screenplays and provide feedback, as needed.
- Maintain databases of on and off-screen talent relevant to various projects, research literary rights availability, and research other market intelligence / background information in Studio System to support pitches to broadcasters and streamers.
- Support the Head of Film & Television in various other ad hoc tasks that will drive the trajectory of projects from development to production.
- Gain hands-on experience on how the film & television business operates through shadowing and engaging with key internal and external stakeholders.
Social Media
- Track and follow social media trends to support the in-house social media team, which publishes content multiple times per week to engage fans of the Company’s existing intellectual property.
- Understand YouTube content trends, tagging and formatting conventions and engage with fans on that platform.
- Gather market data on trending content (primarily Instagram and TikTok), brainstorm and create appropriate content, and tag / post content in ways that maximize reach.
- Analyze and report on the performance of posted content, using data to drive optimization and improvement.
- Engage with followers and fans of the Company’s existing film properties to answer questions and respond to comments.
General Qualifications:
- Applicants should have keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to multitask.
- Work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment and make decisions with informed discretion.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
- Must be passionate about the business of film & tv production.
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and trends (especially, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube).
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Ideal candidates will have one year of film-related work experience or internship in a literary, entertainment, or related field.
