We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and self-motivated individual to join JTI as a Digital & Innovation Marketing Intern within our highly regulated Tobacco industry. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Digital & Innovation team and other key stakeholders to acquire valuable hands-on experience in the strategy development and execution of digital initiatives while ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations. This internship presents a distinct opportunity to gain practical experience in a wide range of digital initiatives and become an integral part of our dynamic team within a fast-paced consumer-packaged goods (CPG) company.


  1. Strategy Planning & Development Support: Work closely with the Digital & Innovation team to support the planning, implementation, and optimization toward integrated marketing efforts across multiple touchpoints.
  2. Content Creation: Assist in creating a curating digital communication for various internal and external channels including sourcing, writing, editing, and publishing digital content.
  3. Research & Market Analysis: Conduct regular audits outlining competitor activities and develop and share findings that contribute to digital marketing strategies and tactics.
  4. Data Analysis & Reporting: Help track, analyze, and produce reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) across digital channels and platforms utilizing tools including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  5. Compliance: Ensure that all digital initiatives comply with the strict regulatory standards governing the Tobacco industry and support in project submission and approval processing.
  6. Administrative Support: Perform day-to-day administrative duties to ensure the smooth functioning of the marketing department. Including reporting, legal submissions, planning, approvals, booking meetings etc.
  7. Learning & Development: Stay up to date with emerging digital trends, technologies, and best practices and share findings and insights with the team.


  • Currently enrolled in a university or college program with plans to return to school in the fall of 2024.
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. French is an asset but not required.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, time management and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus.
