This position will initially be an unpaid internship to fulfill the requirements of the applicant’s Interior Design educational program. It is an opportunity to gain real work experience and on the job training. For the right candidate it may evolve into a paid position with demonstrated ability and commitment.

We are a growing high-end, award-winning design studio in the east-end of Toronto focusing primarily on residential projects. Our approach is collaborative, personal to each client with an emphasis in client care and service.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an interior design intern to work on design related work, typically drafting, preparing client presentations, assistance with sourcing and selections, as well as various administrative tasks related to the day-to-day minutia of running a design firm, including social media and blog admin.

We are looking for a student in the second or third year of an interior design program to take part in every step of the design process for client projects. You would be meeting with clients occasionally, providing CAD, PowerPoint, and Photoshop support, assisting with sourcing materials/furnishings.
You would need to be comfortable working on your own as well as in a team scenario – we work closely!

Must have:

  • Must know space planning.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD (or similar), Photoshop, Sketchup, Outlook, Illustrator, In-Design
  • Must have computer with software.
  • Strong communication skills and experience consulting directly with clients
  • ORGANIZATION is key! Preference will be given to applicants who are “freakishly organized” and masters of spreadsheets and processes.
  • Must have car to travel to jobsites and showrooms.

  • 2nd or 3rd year students registered and currently attending an interior design program.
  • Ability to manage moving parts on many tasks when needed.
