Placement Site Information – 3 Rivers Counselling – St Stephen – New Brunswick

Overview:
3 Rivers Counselling offers a dynamic practicum placement designed to provide a blend of both virtual and in-person appointments. Our placement setting is a supportive environment where students gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting under the guidance of experienced professionals. We offer regularly scheduled Professional Development, as well as individual and dyadic supervision.

Our Team:
Our team consists of four licensed therapists—all proud Yorkville graduates—who bring a wealth of knowledge and clinical expertise. Clinical Supervision is provided by Brittany Rickett – clinic director and Licensed Counselling Therapist.

Clinical Approach:
At 3 Rivers Counselling, we affirm neuro-diversity and recognize the varied ways individuals experience and navigate the world. We are particularly passionate about supporting individuals facing the unique challenges of ADHD and trauma. Our therapeutic work is influenced by a variety of approaches, including:

• Somatic Therapy
• Polyvagal Theory
• Internal Family Systems (IFS)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
