Best Possible Self Counselling is growing and looking for a counsellor who is ready to learn, work in a team environment and who is flexible with their work hours having availability to work evenings. This is a contract position where you get the opportunity to build your own hours and expertise. We are currently located in the Cowichan Valley in a beautiful historic brick building.

At Best Possible Self Counselling we have created a warm, safe and fun environment for children and youth to come and learn about their emotions, how to use strategies that can help them and how to ask for support when needed. At BPS it is important that we work with the whole family to ensure quick, effective support. While working with children and youth is our focus, we also work with the parents to provide parenting support and education. Currently, we specialize in supporting children and youth with anxiety, possible or confirmed ADHD diagnosis, behavioural issues, depression, grief and loss and separation and divorce. We are working to expand our specialities to include OCD, Autism and Couples counselling.

We offer opportunities to work with children, youth, adults, parents and couples depending on your specialities and interests. We are currently seeking a part-time Registered Clinical Counsellor to join our growing practice. This position is primarily based in office, with some opportunity to provide online sessions.

Associate Responsibilities:

• Master’s degree in Cliinical Counselling or Psychology
• Registered with BCACC as a Registered Clinical Counsellor
• Liability Insurance
• Willingness to work 2-3 shifts a week for 3-5 hours, with the understanding that it may take time to build your clientele
• Motivated to grow and develop your practice at BPS Counselling
