psychotherapy and wellness practice located
in Halifax’s North End. Our team provides
individual and couples therapy while
collaborating with wellness practitioners to
offer experiences such as breathwork, yoga,
sound baths, workshops, and retreats that
support overall wellbeing.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Risework Therapy is expanding and we are
looking for a full time registered therapist to
join our Halifax team.

This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys
building meaningful therapeutic
relationships and wants to grow their
practice within a supportive and
collaborative environment. With a strong
referral network and growing demand for
services, this role offers the opportunity to
build a full caseload within a modern and
established practice.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Provide individual therapy using evidence
based approaches in a conversational, client
centred way
• Conduct intake and mental health
assessments, including safety assessments
• Develop and implement treatment plans
tailored to client goals
• Support clients with practical coping
strategies related to anxiety, trauma, self
worth, and relationship challenges and more
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical
documentation and track client progress

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Registered therapist (RP, RCT, MSW, or
Psychologist)
• Master’s degree in counselling, social
work, psychology, or a related mental health
field
• Training in evidence based therapeutic
approaches
• Warm, personable, and client centred
therapeutic style
• Comfortable working in person in Halifax,
with the option to see virtual clients
• Experience providing psychotherapy or
counselling (including clinical placements)
