Job Description:
- Title: Research Assistant supporting a project looking at how educational institutions can enhance scholarly and research productivity using the alignment of knowledge management system strategies and human resources management practices.
Supervised By:
- Umeka Naidoo, Professor, Dr. John Morrison, Professor, Dr. Jody Merritt, Professor
Position, Hours and Payment:
- Casual position, no more than ten hours per week, with a total of 100 working hours
- Possibility of continuing the work as an inquiry or thesis project
- Paid according to the policy of Human Resources, Yorkville University
Responsibilities:
- Perform a literature search and critical appraisal
- Assist with research data entering and analysis
- Assist with preparation of research presentations and reports
- Assist with other administration related to the research project
Qualifications:
- A senior student/graduate of a bachelor’s degree in health science, business disciplines including human resources management, life science, nursing, sociology, psychology, or other health-related disciplines. Open to students in Yorkville’s: MeD, MACP, and DCP programs.Â
- Competency in data analysis and statistics (in vivo data analysis)
- Ability to take minutes
- Fluent in English writing
- Interest in human resources or higher education research
- Understanding of research ethics, (i.e., privacy and confidentiality, respecting community and individuals
- Able to work remotely from home if needed
