POSITION SUMMARY:
The Co-op student assigned to Social Media Marketing will be participating in a unique program established by Peel Regional Police in partnership with colleges and universities. This program has been designed to assist students to satisfy graduation requirements by attaining hands-on work experience through a co-op placement. To be eligible, candidates must be enrolled in a co-op program through their educational institution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement and monitor social media recruiting strategies that target competitive applicant
• Create relevant and creative digital media content to attract a diverse pool of applicant
• Monitor and track success of recruiting campaigns
• Responsible for Managing social media platforms
• Assist in optimizing website content
• Performing additional duties as assigned

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a degree/diploma in Marketing, Media Studies, Media Communications or related field of study
• In-depth Knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTok) and best practices with a strong passion for staying up on current events, social and content marketing trends
• Ability to develop social media marketing strategy, build organizational awareness and generate inbound traffic to website and social media platforms
• Knowledge of social media insights and analytics and the ability to prepare related reports
• Shoot, edit and size content for website and social media platforms
• Effective written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

College/University co-op positions posted are for the Winter term and will run from January 13, 2025, to April 25, 2025. Maximum placements are 15 weeks in length, with full time hours and are paid.
