Overview
Reporting to the Manager, Campus Operations or the Campus and Executive Support Manager, the Campus Administrative Assistant is responsible for reception duties and assisting with campus administration. Specific responsibilities include assisting students via front desk, answering phones and responding to emails, mail management, inventory management, and general administrative support. The Campus Administrative Assistant contributes to a working environment where all team members can be their best selves, grow and thrive, to support our corporate mission of championing student success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the campus operations team.
  • Assisting with student and staff inquiries and the adherance to policies and procedures, to support the administration of the Campus.
  • Supporting the planning and execution of on-campus events and meetings (e.g. catering orders, liaising with facilities and/or other teams, coordinating travel for guests).
  • Support the restocking and cleanliness of the faculty and staff coffee areas.
  • Contributing to a positive on campus culture that supports equity, inclusion, learning, and wellness.

Skills, Experience & Competencies

  • 1+ years of experience in reception and/or administration.
  • Secondary school diploma (or international equivalent) required; College Diploma preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in customer service, mail management, inventory management, and handling 3rd party contractors.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams).

Key Working Relationships

  • Maintains working relationships with own department (managers, professionals).
  • Requires communicating with own department, where objectives and priorities are mostly shared.
  • Requires working with students, faculty, and staff in a university environment.

People Leadership Responsibilities

  • No people leadership responsibilities.

Working Conditions

  • Campus working environment with generally low-level noise and minimal safety risk from outdoor elements exposure (and some local business travel required).
  • Mental stress would be characterized as low.
