Working under the direction of the Communications & Marketing Manager, the Communications and Marketing Coordinator will develop, implement and monitor the Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) communications, marketing and advertising activities.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and edit various communications and marketing materials for programs, events, IDC’s website, partner publications and trade shows
- Draft and edit IDC’s monthly newsletter
- Manage IDC’s various awards programs in collaboration with the IDC team
- Execute social media plans for annual events (Design Symposium, Awards Celebration, social events, Annual Meeting, etc.)
- Manage IDC’s social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) with relevant, industry news, research and timely discussions
- Participate at tradeshows and events to promote IDC and the profession of interior design
- Work with the Industry Partnerships team to manage various events and communications for members; seek to maximize media exposure for these programs
- Produce evaluation reports and set and monitor targets for new and existing programs and campaigns
Requirements:
- Background in communications, marketing, business administration, or public relations
- Experience with creating communications and marketing campaigns, strategies, and plans
- Experience with online marketing, including social media, and content marketing
- Experience with website maintenance, knowledge of WordPress is an asset
- Exceptional writing, editing, research, and communications skills
- Ability to meet competing deadlines
- Graphic design skills are an asset
- Working knowledge of French is an asset
