CSDA/CCAD Newsletter Editor – Part Time (paid position)

The Canadian Society of Decorative Arts is a national non-profit organization whose vision is to enhance the importance of decorative arts and design throughout Canada. The CSDA/CCAD provides an educational forum for the decorative arts through programming and publications. Our organization fosters the arts and crafts community by uniting like-minded connoisseurs, enthusiasts and specialists through membership and social events.

About the Role

At present, we publish a quarterly online newsletter that is distributed to over 1500 readers. We are seeking a dynamic, creative editor to curate and expand our e-newsletter strategy by improving our current operations and developing a method which will strengthen our email offerings and our subscriber base. The successful candidate will have an eye for engaging content that resonates with targeted communities, a high-level of editorial standards and a passion to promote the decorative arts while maintaining professional integrity.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To generate editorial content for the CSDA’s quarterly member e-newsletter: March, June, September & November
  • Build The Newsletter’s email participation by using MailChimp
  • Make strategic decisions based on email performance analytics
  • Collaborate with The Newsletter team to identify new opportunities for content
  • Attend monthly Communications Committee meetings (one hour)
