Role Description

This part-time, hybrid role is located in Toronto, ON. As an intern, you will be responsible for supporting the sales and marketing team in day-to-day tasks such as social media content creation, participating in and organizing events, market research, data analysis, and lead generation. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in marketing and sales to gain experience and exposure with a dynamic and growing organization.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Support:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns to promote our products, services, and events.
  • Create engaging content for social media platforms, including posts, graphics, and videos.
  • Conduct market research to identify target audiences, trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Sales Assistance:

  • Support the sales team in prospecting, lead generation, and customer relationship management.
  • Assist with sales outreach efforts, including cold calling, email campaigns, and follow-up communications.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop sales materials, presentations, and proposals.
  • Provide administrative support for sales activities, such as data entry and CRM management.

Communication Coordination:

  • Assist in the development and distribution of communication materials, including newsletters, press releases
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather content and information for communication initiatives.
  • Help maintain the organization’s website, ensuring content accuracy and relevance.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile press clippings for review.

Event Support:

  • Assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of events, such as fundraisers, conferences, and community outreach programs.
  • Help coordinate event logistics, and attendee registration.
  • Provide on-site support during events, including setup, participant engagement.
  • Assist with post-event activities, such as attendee follow-up

Qualifications

  • A passion for sales and marketing and a strong desire to learn
  • Personal passion for social impact, genders equality, human rights, DEI
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing tools
  • Ability to take initiative, be creative, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and graphic design is a plus
  • Experience of photography and video work (desirable)
