Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal
candidate will have a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and a genuine
passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, couples, group, and family therapy to clients of all ages.
• Provide a range of mental health supports offered through New Tide Counselling & Consulting Ltd.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participate in regular supervision and staff meetings.
• Stay current with developments in mental health research and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Current and valid registration with college or association or ability to register (CCPA, CCTNB, NBASW, etc.)
• Previous clinical experience considered a strong asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Bilingualism (French/English) is considered a strong asset.
